Church History

Lily of the Valley (LOTV) in Doddsville, Mississippi had it's humble beginnings in 1956. Our first pastor was Elder Johnny Jones and he served approximately six months. In November of 1956, Bishop Lyles appointed Elder George Copprue as pastor of LOTV. Under Elder Copprue's leadership, the church became known for it’s anointed services, awesome music ministry and the Powerfully Preached Word of God!  

In November of 1999, the Lord laid it on the heart of Bishop Timothy Titus Scott to appoint Elder Lamar Moore pastor of LOTV. Elder Moore is a carpenter by trade and it was under his divine leadership that several repairs and remodeling took place to make the House of God more inviting and conducive for worship. The Lord continued to bless Elder Moore and the ministry of LOTV.  New souls were gained for the kingdom of God and many lives were transformed by the Word of God. 

In 2013, the Lord impressed it on the heart of Elder Moore to build a new edifice for worship. In July 2016, construction began for our new church. To God be the glory! Finally in February 2017, LOTV moved from 442 Pond Street to 3069 Hwy 49 North in Doddsville, Mississippi. The Lord has continued to bless LOTV and we are eternally grateful for his Divine Favor, Grace, Faithfulness and most importantly, for His Spirit that DWELLS RICHLY IN THIS PLACE!
