Our Pastor

Elder Lamar Moore has served as Pastor of Lily of the Valley Church of God in Christ since 1999. He is married to Mrs. Vanessa Moore, a union God has blessed for thirty five years. Together they have three children, Damarcus, Danielle and Jamaris and they also have one grandson, Damarcus Jr. 

Elder Moore received his Bachelor of Science degree from Jackson State University in Jackson, Mississippi. He furthered his studies at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Ms. He is a retired Assistant Director of maintenance and grounds at Mississippi Valley State University where he worked for 28 years. Elder Moore presently works for himself at “Moe Construction”.  “Moe Construction” has renovated several churches in the delta area.  One of Elder Moore’s major renovation projects was of Mitchel Temple C.O.G.I.C in Indianola MS.  Additionally, Elder Moore built the new Lily of The Valley C.O.G.I.C edifice in Doddsville Mississippi in 2016 and in 2018, Elder Moore built the a new fellowship Hall for St. Luke COGIC in Isola, Mississippi.

Elder Lamar Moore loves the Lord and he is a visionary for the kingdom of God. Elder Moore has a heart for God’s people and for the work of the Lord. He is a carpenter by trade and the same passion and enthusiasm he has for his work is displayed more abundantly in his ministry as he is a builder for the kingdom of God. He is a man that believes in allowing God to have His way and his most sincere prayer for the world today is "I pray we all be ready for His return". Called for such a time as this, Elder Lamar Moore.
